This event is being organized, planned, and executed by a class of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management students. Eric Lane is the professor of this class and is guiding his students with the event planning. The class of twelve seniors is getting prepared for their future careers in hospitality. They have put a lot of energy into the scholarship event and would like to share a little about themselves with you.

Aubrey Ames
Logistics Manager

Study Abroad: Institute for American Universities Aix-en-Provence, France
Aubrey joined the class to learn about everything it takes to put on a high-class event, and is excited to be a part of a future school tradition. Aubrey loves the personal side of the hospitality industry, and after graduation she hopes to work in a bed & breakfast, perhaps in southern France or elsewhere abroad.

Iulia Bosoi
Director of Branding and Design

Study Abroad: University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia
Iulia is interested in the investment side of hospitality and is planning on pursuing a dual masters degree in finance as well as real estate and construction management. She would love to gain some work experience in Dubai and hopes that one day she can own her own restaurant.

Rachel Goodman

Study Abroad: Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland
Rachel is interested in pursuing a career in Event Management, Sales and Marketing, or Public Relations in the hotel industry upon graduation. She is also very interested in pursuing a career abroad. She hopes to one day own an event management company as well as a cupcake shop!

Morgaen Hoxsey

Morgaen is interested in pursuing a career in the operations of the Food and Beverage industry within a hotel resort. After graduation, she hopes to do some traveling, as well as begin her courses in the Court of Master Sommeliers to further enhance her knowledge and passion for wine.

Katherine Hsu

Katherine is interested customer service management and guest satisfaction in a resort hotel since she is able to interact with guests, explore various target markets, and acquire knowledge about different cultures. After graduation, she hopes to achieve a role as a hotel general manager in an international hotel chain.

Molly McMahon

Study Abroad: Santander, Spain and Sevilla, Spain.
Molly believes strongly in the cause of this festival and is happy to be contributing to future students’ academic careers. She is continuing her education next year in graduate school, focusing on international business. She plans to use her experiences with event planning and Spanish in her future career.

Allison Morris

Study Abroad: Semester at Sea
Allison joined this class for a challenging and fun experience. She is excited to learn how to apply the skills she has learned so far in the HRTM program to the festival. She hopes to pursue a career in either hotel and restaurant design or meeting and events planning upon graduation, but is open to other exciting opportunities in the field if they arise.

With a passion for further learning, she is excited for this new experience to plan and execute a brand new event that will help future students with scholarships.

As a Student-Athlete, Ute enjoys working with others in a team environment. Upon graduation she hopes to take part in a management-training program and work her way through the various departments of a hotel.
Kirstin Soldevilla

Kirstin is extremely passionate about gourmet cuisine and unique culinary experiences. She loves to travel as well as sample foods and wines from around the world. Upon graduation, she hopes to find a career abroad and one-day open an authentic Spanish tapas restaurant.

Shey Wiley

Shey is interested in the administrative side of the hospitality industry, with a focus in sales and marketing. She enjoys the Hotel side of administration as well as the operations involved in the Food and Beverage Industry. Upon graduation, Shey hopes to travel before partaking in a Management Training program!

With a passion for planning, Lesia joined the Wine Festival class to learn what it takes to create and execute a high profile event for the public. She has been working in the event industry since her freshmen year of college and loves working directly with the clients. Lesia hopes to continue working in the event industry after graduation focusing on non-profit events and weddings.
